Set to the tune of the opening music from Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight, Chris Stamp’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection does brand evolution right—channeling the past while pacing towards the future. The overall military aesthetic is still there, as are the distressed pieces like a charcoal gray mock neck with blasted-out elbows. The pants are absolutely stellar—cropped front pocket cargo pants with zippers and drawstrings at the hemline are sure to satisfy recovering jogger pant aficionados
Fans of Stampd’s outerwear offerings will be blown away by bondage-inspired M-65s, collarless elongated topcoats, and a belted trench with oversized lapels. The footwear was on point, too. Handsome combat boots were juxtaposed with Stampd’s collaboration with Filling Pieces, the FP Regime, a perforated mid-top that channels the spirit of the Jordan III, minus the design static.
