Introducing: EDEN Power Corp
There has always been a complicated relationship between fashion and ecology. Growing from this need for reconciliation between these two universes, EDEN Power Corp is born.
This Canadian-based brand founded by Isaac Larose and Florence Provencher-Proulx comes out as a new proposal that aims to provide alternatives for a better future.
The whole brand concept started as a simple extension of their personal lifestyles: the way that its founders live, and what they love. Renewable energy, permaculture, and plant-based nutrition are just some of the dynamics that are brought up to the table.
EDEN Power Corp promotes an eco-conscious lifestyle in line with its sartorial output. This Spring-Summer ’21 collection “Mycelium Research & Development”, as the name suggests, draws inspiration from the mushroom universe, characteristics, and behavior. Featuring an overall mix of earth-toned colors, this collection is crafted with materials such as hemp, recycled polyester, and organic cotton.
Highlights of the collection garments feature printed graphic EDEN logo t-shirts and hoodies, Wretched mushroom illustrations, recycled cotton shorts, hemp accessories, and homeware decoration, like the Mush Beeswax Candle made along with Crying Clover Candles who provided recycled wax for its fabrication.
The collection’s lookbook was shot by Mathieu Fortin, at the perfect location for this narrative: the fungus storage facility of Les 400 Pieds de Champignon, a Canadian urban mushroom farm.
