TheRoom Radio #002 – VIRGINIE

In this second delivery of the TheRoom Radio series, we are happy to present the work of an essential artist on Barcelona’s music scene, VIRGINE (@virginie_aka_vir). Vinyl collector since her childhood, VIRGINIE started her job as a professional DJ in 1999. Eclectic by nature, she is known for combining black music with electronics and hip-hop. Her musical selection captivates the public in each of her sessions. She has participated in the Cruilla Festival, SoundEat!, Brunch in The City, Brunch Electronik, DGTL Barcelona and Primavera Sound where she also had the chance to present one of her side projects: Shakti Alliance in which she works along selector Troya Modet. Currently, she works on a couple of different projects one of them is the C / C radio dedicated to DJs and producers. Her mix for THEROOM Radio is a catalog of hypnotic black voices, disco music, and funky rhythms that take us back to the 80s and 90s and which is a pure pleasure to listen to from start to finish.
